Performing/Competitive Company (Ages 8 & Up)
Cami Curtis Performing Arts Center (CCPAC) offers a Performing/Competitive Company to dancers ages 8 & up. Any committed dancer can become a member of the Company. A placement class will be held twice a year to determine the dancers’ proper level.
Being a member of the Performing Company requires considerable focus and commitment. Dancers are expected to maintain a level of professionalism and a strong work ethic. If a dancer is lacking in any of these areas and does not address the issue, he/she risks expulsion from the Company.
This is for the serious dancer who wants to experience being part of a cohesive group working towards the goal of pre-professional performance. Dancers who are in the Performing Company will have opportunities to participate in dance competitions, company performances, and traveling overseas. Members will have the option of solos in their chosen genre(s).
The Performing/Competitive Company runs September-mid July. Company members have two months off in the summer but we highly request dancers continue to take dance classes so improvement is not hindered.
Dance Requirements
-Company class on Thursdays, 6:45-7:45 pm
-2 Ballet classes each week.
-2 classes in chosen genre(s) each week. Genres include tap, ballet, jazz (includes contemporary and lyrical), and hip hop.
-1 choreography class in chosen genre(s) each week.
-If chosen genre is ballet, dancer must take 3 ballet classes each week and 2 classes in a different genre.
-Monthly fees and any unpaid fees will be charged to credit/debit card.
Monthly Company Fees
-1 Genre at 5 hrs/week – $180/mo
-2 Genres at 7 hrs/week – $250/mo
-3 Genres at 9 hrs/week – $320/mo
-4 Genres at 11 hrs/week – $395/mo
Monthly Solo Fees
-1 Solo at 1 hr/week – $120/mo
-2 Solos at 2 hrs/week – $240/mo
-3 Solos at 3 hrs/week – $360/mo
-4 Solos at 4 hrs/week – $480/mo
CC Troupes – Dance, Drama, Vocal (Ages 5-8, 9 & Up)
CCPAC offers Troupes for performers in the areas of dance, drama and vocal. Any performer ages 5 & up can become a member of a CC Troupe. There are two age levels in each Troupe.
Being a member of any one fo the CC Troupes requires commitment and focus. Members lacking either one of these may be asked to leave the Troupe.
This is for the performer age 5 & up who wants to experience being part of a cohesive group working towards community performances. Performers in a CC Troupe will have local performing opportunities such as Festival of Trees, Rose Festival, retirement homes and studio performances to name a few. Members will have th option of solos/monologues.
CC Troupes run September-June.
Dance Troupe Requirements
-1 ballet class each week.
-1 dance class in any genre each week.
-1 choreography class each week.
Drama Troupe Requirements
-1 acting improv class each week.
-1 acting scene class each week.
-1 dance class in any genre each week.
Vocal Troupe Requirements
-1 vocal technique class each week.
-1 vocal choir class each week.
-1 dance class in any genre each week.
Monthly Troupe Fees
-1 Troupe at 3 hrs/week – $108/mo
-2 Troupes at 5 hrs/week – $180/mo
-3 Troupes at 7 hrs/week – $252/mo
Monthly Solo/Monologue Fees
-1 Solo/Monologue at 1 hr/week – $120/mo
-2 Solos/Monologues at 2 hrs/week – $240/mo
-3 Solos/Monologues at 3 hrs/week – $360/mo
-4 Solos/Monologues at 4 hrs/week – $480/month
Registration for the Performing/Competitive Company and Troupes must be done at the center.
